Larry Hurtado
President and CEO of Evanesco, Inc.
Larry Hurtado is the President and CEO of Evanesco, Inc. He is a seasoned executive in the cybersecurity space who champions the cause of Blue-Teamers (defensive cybersecurity professionals) and their tireless mission to protect the information assets of the organizations in which they serve. As a person who is passionate about serving his local community and in helping students find career opportunities with great professional purpose, Larry continues to serve on the board of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Board of Advisors for Cyber P-Tech USA.
At Evanesco, Larry is working with a multifaceted team of highly skilled cybersecurity professionals to provide much needed cybersecurity remediation professional services as well as new Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to organizations. These professional services and SaaS offerings help Blue-Teamers make cyber security breaches disappear.
Prior to Evanesco, Larry was President and CEO of Digital Defense Inc., a leading provider for cyber risk management solutions. With over two decades of networking and cybersecurity experience, he helmed Digital Defense’s movement from a regional niche player to an industry leader with an established global presence ultimately leading to the successful acquisition of Digital Defense by HelpSystems LLC in February 2021.
Prior to Digital Defense, Larry was Co-Founder and President of International Operations for Elastic Networks, Incorporated. At Elastic Networks, he was responsible for introducing EtherLoop DSL products, overall business growth, financing, a successful $400 million IPO, and the acquisition of the company by Paradyne Corporation. Prior to Elastic Networks, Hurtado held senior management positions at Nortel Networks, including VP of Business Line Management in Nortel Networks’ Access Networks Division.
Larry holds a B.S.E.E. degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Jeff Fair
Vice President of Cybersecurity and Economic Development
Jeff Fair is the Vice President of Cybersecurity and Economic Development for the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. In this role, he is responsible for serving as a leading policy expert, strategist, and resource for important issues in the cybersecurity community including information sharing, acquisition reform, education and training, support for our military infrastructure, and supporting the second largest cybersecurity region in the country. Jeff will also lead the Chamber’s economic development efforts with small businesses and major industries across the local area.
As part of his role as with cybersecurity at the Chamber, Fair leads a public-private partnership with the City of San Antonio called CyberSecurity San Antonio. Established in 2015 with the City and Bexar County, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce hosts CyberSecurity SA, a group that convenes all of players in cybersecurity in the area including businesses, non-profits, educators, trainers, and municipalities.
Before joining the Chamber, Fair worked in cybersecurity and intelligence at Lackland Air Force Base following a 23-year as an US Army officer. During his service, Jeff served at the National Security Agency and United States Cyber Command in strategy and policy roles as well as in operational assignments. Fair was also an instructor at the National Intelligence University, teaching classes on analysis, strategy, and cybersecurity.
Fair has a B.A. from the George Washington University, an M.B.A. from Hawaii Pacific University, an M.P.A from the University of Washington, and M.S. in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University.
The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce has been propelling business success since 1894.
